Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Egret service ("Service") at egret.host, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Egret provides dedicated public IPv4 addresses tunneled over WireGuard. The Service allows customers to route internet traffic through an assigned static IP address. Egret is a network connectivity tool, not a general-purpose VPS or hosting provider.

3. No Identity Verification

Egret does not require identity verification of any kind. We do not collect government-issued ID, real name, physical address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information beyond an email address. Anonymous payment via Monero (XMR) is accepted, allowing you to pay without providing any financial identity information. Egret guarantees it will never require identity verification as a condition of service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. You must not use the Service to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or any form of mass unsolicited messaging.
  • Conduct port scanning, network probing, or vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own or have explicit authorization to test.
  • Perform denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
  • Engage in fraud, phishing, identity theft, or deceptive practices of any kind.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious code.
  • Facilitate illegal access to computer systems or networks (unauthorized hacking).
  • Scrape or harvest data from websites or services in violation of their terms.
  • Conduct activities that violate any applicable law, including laws relating to privacy, intellectual property, or data protection.
  • Operate botnets or participate in coordinated abuse infrastructure.
  • Transmit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors.
  • Circumvent sanctions, export controls, or other legal restrictions.

Egret reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be engaged in prohibited activities without prior notice.

5. SMTP and Port Restrictions

Outbound SMTP (port 25) is blocked by default on all Egret services to prevent abuse. No exceptions are available for the current service tier. This restriction is in place to protect the reputation of IP addresses and prevent spam.

6. Account Registration

You must provide an email address to use the Service. No further personal information is required or collected. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email. You may not share your account or access credentials with third parties.

7. Billing and Payments

The Service is offered on a credit-based system. Charges are made in advance for the service period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Egret reserves the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Failure to maintain a positive account balance may result in service suspension. Cryptocurrency payments, including Monero (XMR), are accepted and require no financial identity verification.

8. Service Availability

Egret aims for high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance may cause temporary outages. Egret is not liable for downtime, data loss, or damages resulting from service interruptions.

9. Termination

You may cancel your service at any time from the dashboard. Egret may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or for any other reason at its sole discretion. Upon termination, your assigned IP address will be reclaimed and your WireGuard configuration will be invalidated.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Egret does not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or be error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Egret shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Egret's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

Egret reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
